Summit on Educational Attainment for Working Age Adults

How will our region meet the growing need for an educated workforce? Be part of the action and join vital conversations about educational attainment at the Summit — featuring advocates and thought leaders from around the country, and a very special Regional Mayor’s Panel.

Sacramento State, in partnership with Align Capital Region, is hosting the inaugural Summit on Educational Attainment for Working Age Adults.

  • By 2020, two thirds of all jobs in the U.S. will require postsecondary education
  • California will face a shortage of one million college educated workers by 2025
  • In the greater Sacramento region, over 200,000 working age adults (25-64) have some college, but no degree

It is time to start a movement!

We’re assembling the region’s most innovative thinkers and industry leaders to create solutions to increase the number of Sacramento’s working age adults with degrees, certificates, and other credentials to 60% by 2025.

Together, we will narrow the educational attainment gap, support our region’s economic growth, and serve as a model for the state of California.

Be part of the conversation, along with:

  • Employers
  • Community Leaders
  • Government
  • Academic Institutions
