This team seeks to address a systemic issue that primarily affects youth and disadvantaged populations within our community. They will collaboratively and creatively explore workforce transportation for interns and new hires who have difficulty getting to worksites after landing the intern/job. Many youths who successfully get their first job or internship do not have the means to own and operate their own vehicle. Public transportation, due to limited routes and schedules, is not sufficiently accessible to the majority of first-time workers seeking transportation to their new job. Over time, this team will deliver a set of scalable transportation solutions that eliminate transportation as a barrier preventing new hires or disadvantaged populations from getting to work safely and on-time.
