Information Communications Technology Council

Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Council

The Council originally came to ACR as a Community of Practice organization. It had over 20 members participating before working with ACR and has maintained robust participation of the key members. The group has also started due diligence to complete its tactical plan. One primary area of focus includes strengthening the ICT pipeline to technical careers. The team has been collaborating with the College and Career Support Network (CCASN) for the past year. Secondly, the team is promoting efforts to facilitate regional collaboration, and aligning industry and education via the ICT Advisory events convened by Valley Vision. The team is seeking to partner with employers to enhance different work-based learning opportunities including internships and apprenticeships to support the ICT sector. Employers will be encouraged to join in ongoing efforts to strengthen employer driven initiatives such as the CA Apprenticeship Initiative with hopes that a group would begin the formation of a unilateral apprenticeship committee.
