It is projected that over 200,000 new workers are needed in the construction industry by 2024 within the Sacramento region. This Alignment team intends to design and implement an apprenticeship program for the construction industry. What differentiates this team’s approach is that they want to expand course offerings to students that include business, accounting, and construction management via local community colleges. Once placed, these new workers not only will possess entry level skills, but the ability to retain employment with greater potential to advance within that broader industry.
